I give up & give in…

Sometimes you just have to walk away.  Even if it feels like the rain is pouring, there’s clouds in the sky and a sense of gloom.  Even when you think you are heading in the wrong direction, just walk away.

I’ve decided it’s time to throw in the towel.  To give up this “game” of business that I’ve been playing for [so many] years.

I had wanted to find freedom, to find my way in this world, to remove myself of the expectations of life and to do things my way, not the corporate way, or the way in which we’ve been taught for such a very long time.  You see, I never really did fit in.  I always was a ‘disruptor’ of a different kind.  My own kind, who believes that each and every one of us has something incredibly valuable to give and to share, but all too often those gifts and talents are not nurtured and honed for us to become masters of our very own innate genius, instead they are subdued and over-ridden by old ideas and ways of schooling (which is more like torture than teaching) that turn us into shadows of our real, true selves.

That true self, the identity that you carry everywhere, every single day knows that you are genius.  And every single day tries to show you various ways to shine.  Yet, for some reason we don’t listen.  Instead we follow the expectations of others and ‘do what we are supposed to do’ and the results are incredible.  Look at our world and what we’ve created, it’s a hot mess – and let’s be honest here, we were all a part of making that hot mess happen.

At an individual level, if you are a hot mess (I often am) then who is to blame?  You know it’s not the leaders, influencers, Governments, parents, siblings, partners, friends and anyone else who comes into contact with you, nope, it’s actually YOU.

Sigh.  That sigh literally fell from my breath as I sit here writing.  Knowing that giving up and giving in is the right thing to do.  If you’ve been following me for a while now, you may be wondering why?  Why would I give up on what I’ve worked so damn hard for?  Why would I torture myself by stepping away from everything that I’ve built?  Why would I give in?

I don’t normally give in.

I have to give in to my real calling.  It’s been beckoning me for the last 10, 11, 12, who knows how many years…  that’s why I’m giving up.  That’s why I’m throwing in the towel.  That’s why I am about to start all over again, for the one-millionth time.

If you are one on my clients and are having a mini-freak out right now, don’t!  There are elements of my business that I will stay true to, they’ll just have a different way of working and you may have already noticed a ‘shift’ in the way we do things.

Hang on in there, it’s only going to get better.  For me, for you, for everyone.  You see the world is changing and it’s changing at a pace that is incredible.  The opportunities are amazing and this means that ALL of us can contribute to making real waves, real change and new ways of thinking in our lifetime, here on this bloody amazing planet of ours.

Skeptical?  Then who am I to tell you any other way than your own.  I’m not here to tell you ‘how’ you should be thinking, doing, behaving, working etc.  But, I am here to create my own life, my way and I am going to use the technology and what we have been given (as the best gift, to be born in this time) to start making a dent in the hot mess.

I truly believe that all of us, if we are working on purpose, can do amazing things.  And if we are living a fulfilled life, in our own beautiful way, we will all make this world a better place to be in, for everyone.

I’m giving up and giving in to myself.  To my future of disrupting more markets and taking on challenges that are way, way, bigger than me and Ben Hur, that’s putting it mildly.  I don’t even know what it is, but it starts on November, 15th when I become a ‘Digital Nomad’ – yes, I’m going off on an adventure.  This adventure will culminate in the launch of One96.co which has been founded to give creative souls and freelancers opportunity to build their businesses, make money, make a difference (through giving back) and make peace with being true to themselves.

In the meantime, I am looking for 3 extraordinary entrepreneurs who want to turn their ideas, dreams and creative genius into a thriving business who want to launch and be ready for an amazing 2016 before the year is out.  This will be a #personalrevolution for you as we start with what’s happening on the inside.  If you are ready to invest in yourself, put in the work and fully commit to doing what you dream of, then contact me ASAP and we’ll get talking to find out if you are a good fit.

And in other news, instead of giving up and giving in on a book I once wrote, I have edited it and make it available for purchase on Amazon.  It’s called “Choosing” and it is part of a series called “Communicate Who You Are”.  And no, it’s not a genius work of art by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a story mixed with ideas on how to make better, more empowered choices.  You see, if your past hasn’t been the best or one that you feel is has held you back, then you have the freedom and the choice to change.

Don’t ever forget that you are amazing, you can do amazing things, you are beautiful, kind, wise and valuable.  Never ever forget your true genius and let yourself shine, that’s who you are and who you were always meant to be.
